Terms of Service

Last updated 2026-08-27

1. What WOVAN is

WOVAN is operated by Two Threads Collective, LLC ("WOVAN," "we," "us," or "our"), a New York limited liability company. WOVAN is a screen-time and family-connection app. These terms govern your use of the WOVAN mobile app and any associated backend services, whether you're using it as a guardian or a teen (13 and older).

2. Eligibility and guardian authority

If you create a guardian account, you represent that you are at least 18 years old and have legal parental or guardian authority over any teen you link to your family. If you're a teen creating your own account, you represent that you are at least 13 years old and that a guardian has consented to your use of WOVAN as part of their own family setup.

3. Accounts

Guardians and teens 13 and older create their own account with an email address. WOVAN does not currently support accounts for children under 13; support for younger children is planned for a future release.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use WOVAN to harass, monitor without disclosure beyond what the app's own features describe, or otherwise use the family-linking features to contact or connect with someone without a genuine family relationship.

5. Account deletion

You can delete your account at any time from within the app. If you're the primary guardian of a family, deleting your account deletes the whole family's data — every linked child record and pending invite, and any other data associated with the family — as disclosed at the point of deletion. A non-primary guardian or a teen deleting their own account removes only their own record.

6. Third-party services

WOVAN relies on third-party infrastructure to operate, including Amazon Web Services for authentication, data storage, and hosting, and Amazon Simple Email Service for account-related email. These providers process data on our behalf under their own security commitments and do not use your data for their own purposes.

7. Disclaimer of warranties; limitation of liability

WOVAN is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Two Threads Collective, LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you've paid us in the past 12 months, or $50 if you haven't paid us anything.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to WOVAN if you violate these terms or use the app in a way that risks harm to another user or to WOVAN itself. You can stop using WOVAN and delete your account at any time, as described above.

9. Dispute resolution and governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these terms or your use of WOVAN will be resolved through binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, on an individual basis only — not as a class, collective, or representative action. Arbitration will take place in New York, at another mutually agreed location, or remotely.

You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by emailing hello@getwovan.com within 30 days of first creating your account, with your name and a clear statement that you wish to opt out of arbitration. If you opt out, disputes will instead be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Monroe County, New York, and both parties consent to that venue and to personal jurisdiction there.

10. Changes to these terms

The date at the top of this page is the effective date of this version — changes take effect as soon as they're posted here. We encourage you to check this page periodically; continuing to use WOVAN after a change is posted means you accept the updated terms.
